Sara — a Shopify app by Jodaks
Overview
Jodaks ("we", "us", or "our") operates Sara, a Shopify application that monitors cart values against merchant-configured spending thresholds and displays promotional offers and progress messages to customers accordingly. This Privacy Policy describes what information Sara collects, how it is used, and the choices you have as a merchant who has installed Sara on your Shopify store.
By installing Sara through the Shopify App Store, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information we collect
Sara collects only the minimum data necessary to provide its cart monitoring service. Specifically, Sara accesses and processes:
- Cart data — information about items added to customer carts, quantities, and cart totals within your store. This is used to evaluate cart value against your configured spending thresholds and determine when to display promotional offers or progress messages.
- Shop domain — the myshopify.com domain associated with your store, used to identify and connect your store's data to your Sara configuration.
- App configuration settings — the preferences and settings you configure within the Sara app dashboard (such as monitoring thresholds and notification preferences).
What we do not collect
Sara is designed to operate without access to customer-identifying information. We do not collect, store, or process:
- Customer names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Shipping or billing addresses
- Payment card details or financial information
- Customer account passwords or login credentials
- Any information that directly identifies individual shoppers
How we use the information
The information Sara collects is used exclusively to provide and improve the service:
- Monitoring cart totals against merchant-configured spending thresholds to trigger promotional offers and progress messages for customers
- Delivering threshold and configuration updates to your store in real time
- Maintaining your Sara configuration and app settings
- Diagnosing technical issues and improving the reliability of the service
We do not sell, rent, or share your store's data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data retention
Cart data processed by Sara is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service. When you uninstall Sara from your Shopify store, your shop's data is deleted promptly upon receipt of Shopify's standard uninstall webhook notification. You may also request data deletion by contacting us at joeatsite@gmail.com.
Shopify platform
Sara is built on and distributed through the Shopify platform. Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Sara accesses your store's data only through Shopify's official API, using the permission scopes granted at the time of installation.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect the data Sara processes, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Sara after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
