Cart monitoring isn't detecting changes in my store
First, confirm that Sara is still installed and active in your Shopify admin under Apps. If the app shows as active, try the following:
- Open Sara's settings and click Save once to re-trigger the configuration sync.
- Check that your Shopify theme hasn't been updated — some theme changes can affect how cart events are captured. Reinstalling the app embed in your theme editor may resolve this.
- If the issue persists after 30 minutes, contact us with your shop domain and we'll investigate.
My settings aren't saving
If you click Save but your settings revert when you reload the page, this is usually caused by one of the following:
- A browser extension (ad blockers, privacy tools) blocking the save request. Try disabling extensions and saving again.
- Your Shopify session timing out. Log out of Shopify admin, log back in, and try saving your settings again.
- A temporary issue on our end. Wait a few minutes and retry. If the problem continues, email us and we'll take a look.
How do I install Sara on my Shopify store?
Sara is installed directly through the Shopify App Store. Once installed, you'll be prompted to complete a short setup flow that connects Sara to your store's cart data. No manual theme code changes are required — Sara uses Shopify's built-in app embed system.
If you run into any issues during installation, email us with your shop domain and a brief description of what happened.
Does Sara collect any customer personal data?
No. Sara only processes cart-level data (items added, quantities, cart totals) and your shop's domain. It does not collect, store, or have access to any customer names, email addresses, payment details, or other personally identifying information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I uninstall Sara?
You can uninstall Sara at any time from your Shopify admin under Apps. Click the three-dot menu next to Sara and select Delete. Uninstalling removes Sara's access to your store immediately. If you have any questions about data deletion after uninstalling, email us and we'll handle it promptly.
